Appearance[/b]
Eye Colors: Brown, chestnut, amber, blue, hazel, heterchromia, and bi-eyed. In short, no un-natural eye colors. No dogs, can not have green eyes.
Coat Colors: same as eye color, nothing un-natural.
Size: Reletive to species/breed.
The only acceptable accessories are things like collars, slip chains, radio collars, etc. Normal dog things. I don't want to see anyone apply that their character is wearing 'jewelry'.
Characters are all forbidden from having 'special abilities' or 'magic' or 'powers'. Realism is key.
Personality
Wilderland is all about getting to know your characters and how you choose to express them. The more you go into the depths of their being the more their true personality is going to show. The more you show off your character's personality while you play him/her the more skilled of a writer you becomes. Wilderland is all about expressing yourself and your writing creativity. Seek out the inner personality in your characters! That's what we're all about!
'Mary-Sue'/Perfection: As in real life there are no perfect people, in the game there will be no perfect characters.
Flaws: Each character has flaws, just remember big flaws like handicaps (for example, 3 legs) will be more difficult to play.
Crazy/Psychotic: Now and then there's a couple not right in the head. But we don't need an overdose of 'crazed' canines running around. If too many are applying a personality restriction will be put in place.
Pack Species
Wolves: Mostly North American gray wolves or red wolves. Now and then, another subspecies might find its way in, but that's rare.
Coyotes: Considered vermin by some but cunning and agile.
Dogs: All manner of domesticated dogs turned feral, purebred or mixed breeds welcome. If too many of one breed are applying a breed restriction will be put in place.
Hybrids: Considered taboo by the pure-blooded packs these are the resulting offspring of wolf/coyote, dog/wolf, dog/coyote, etc breedings.
Non-Pack Species
Foxes: Although they do not usually form a pack, foxes, mostly American red (red, white, or black-phased) are acceptable as well. Arctic foxes are, however, not allowed.
Carnivores: Bears, bobcats, cougars, etc. Now and then one of these is acceptable as well. Remember, carnivores such as these count as 'valley creatures', and are not part of the boardwide plots 90% of the time.
Herbivores: Deer, elk, pronghorn, etc. Now and then one of these is acceptable as well. Remember, carnivores such as these count as 'valley creatures', and are not part of the boardwide plots 90% of the time and may be on the hit-list of a hungry predator.
Animals that are not native to the area are prohibited.
Character Profiles
Once accepted you must add a character profile to the Memoirs board. This shows how much work you've put into your character and allows others to get to know them.
Profiles must include the required criteria and should follow the profile outline in the Memoirs forum.
